Dreams do come true and Luke McCowan's deadline day move from Dundee to Celtic is proof. He's a boyhood Celtic supporter who’s climbed his way through the lower ranks of Scottish football to get where he is today.
McCowan also replaces Irish international Mikey Johnston who finalised a move to West Brom. The midfielder hit 10 goals last season and was Dundee's player of the year.
The Scot has also hit the ground running this season as he has 2 goals and an assist to his name in his first 3 league appearances for Dundee. Closing in on his 60th Scottish Premier League appearance, the 26-year-old is a player that knows the league inside out and for 1 million, is a shrewd piece of business by the Scottish champions.

You could see how much it meant as Celtic's new signing was unveiled at Parkhead late last night. A Celtic supporter who is now living the dream.

Over the course of the window, Celtic have been busy recruiting. A total of six players have come in on a permanent basis before McCown in the shape of Viljami Sinisalo, Kasper Schmeichel, Paulo Bernardo, Adam Idah, Auston Trusty, Arne Engels and Luke McCowan on permanent contracts with Alex Valle also joining on a season-long loan from Barcelona.
The club have also had to deal with a couple of big players moving on over the summer, Matt O'Riley's 26 million transfer to Brighton is a huge blow as the Danish midfielder was the club's top goalscorer in all competitions last season.
Coupled with losing players such as Mikey Johnston, Sead Haksabanovic and Hyeon-gyu Oh, it was vital that Brendan Rodgers added to his squad with a big season domestically and in Europe ahead.
