Neil Warnock has become the first Premier League manager to lose his job this season after reports that Crystal Palace have sacked the former Sheffield United boss today. Rumours of discontent among the Palace hierarchy about Warnock's position intensified after large sections of the home support voiced their disapproval of the performance during their loss to Southampton yesterday.

“I thought they had a lot of luck last year; I don’t see us having much luck this year, Quite a lot of luck went with them but you take your hat off to them for that because you’ve got to take your luck when it comes in the Premier League. We must be due some now.”
