Neil Lennon Defiant After Being Abused And Pelted With Beer At Noel Gallagher Gig

Neil Lennon is no longer Celtic manager but, a year on, he still seems to be permanently tailed by a dedicated entourage of abusive football supporters.

Last night, he made the provocative decision to attend a Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds gig (no doubt, if the story is retold in years to come, it will be remembered as an Oasis gig) in the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.

Not only that, but he was seated in his own box high above the crowds like some big swinging dick. He was all too visible. Onlookers tweeted that Lennon was 'absolutely pelted with beer' during the gig.

Some chose to report the incident approvingly, others not.

Lennon was defiant and his friends appeared to be having a laugh at the whole episode. He cupped his ears and threw his best 'couldn't give a toss' pose. More provocation.

Of course, if the beer tossers were to embark upon a campaign of firing alcohol at all Celtic fans (we're confident they wouldn't. Mr. Lennon is a lightening rod), then they would have been as well to throw their liquor at the stage.

For Noel Gallagher, a true child of the diaspora if ever there was one is a big Celtic man himself.
