There has been a real swiftness to Liverpool's transfer business so far this summer.
Robert Firmino was initially linked last week and then confirmed as a signing today.
Now, according to the Telegraph, they are 'on the brink' of signing England international right back Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton.
The full back will reportedly cost £10.5 million initially with the fee rising to £12.5 million. The departure of Clyne is likely something which Southampton saw coming, they recently signed Portuguese international right back Cedric Soares from Sporting Lisbon.
Clyne would be the sixth signing of the summer for Brendan Rodgers.
Liverpool fans could be forgiven for being a little apprehensive about the signing though, given their recent history of purchasing players from Southampton.
None of Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren or Rickie Lambert have really shone since their moves to Anfield.
That said, Clyne would certainly be an upgrade on the club's current options at right back.
