Natalie Sawyer has presented her final bulletin on Sky Sports News.
In spite of an 18-year career at Sky, the long-time face of their transfer deadline day coverage has been told that her contract is not being renewed. Matt Hughes of The Times is reporting on this story, and says that there was no mention of her departure during her final on-air appearance, and that her colleagues were instructed not to mention the fact she was on her way out.
Hughes also reports that her (now former) colleagues were not given any reason for her departure.
This jars given precedence - Georgie Thompson was presented with flowers before breaking down in tears on her final broadcast in 2011.
A pretty shabby way to treat a fine presenter, who agreed to wear that garish yellow to match their transfer deadline ticker of doom.
