The Argentine striker has been missing since January 21 after the plane he was travelling on lost radar contact near Guernsey.

The plane that was carrying missing Sala and pilot David Ibbotson has been found. The wreckage was discovered on the seabed of the English Channel.

Cardiff are reported to be committed to honouring the deal but not until they have been provided with sufficient documentation. Per Sky Sports News, the Premier League club fell they should wait until the recovery operation in the Channel is concluded and for the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) and the police to conclude their investigations before they proceed with any payment.

Cardiff are reportedly waiting for details about the ownership of the aircraft and why, if as has been reported, the plane tried to take off on three separate occasions.
