Eder's extra-time strike meant the silverware will continue to reside in Iberia, and today saw Portugal's triumphant heroes arrive home with silverware in tow. The side took to a stage before thousands of adoring supporters, and set about entertaining the crowd far more successfully than Joe Duffy and Damien Duff did in 2002.
Nani had a very fine tournament, scoring three goals - as many as Ronaldo - and also brilliantly assisted the extra-time winner in the game against Croatia. Ronaldo earned the tournament's silver boot for his three goals, but gave it to his former Manchester United teammate in recognition of his efforts.
Having done so metaphorically during the tournament, Nani literally took centre-stage ahead of Ronaldo during the homecoming, as he took a microphone and set about showing off his beatboxing skills to the crowd. Watch below:
