A Nacho Novo headbutt is the main talking point after the day's Irish Premiership fixtures - with the Rangers legend apparently responding to a cheeky wind-up from an opponent.
When Rangers legend Nacho Novo moved to the Irish Premiership to play for Glentoran there was great excitement among many football fans in Northern Ireland. Novo's exploits for the Gers made him a hero to many and so the chance to see the Spaniard in the flesh was understandably something that a lot of supporters were excited about.
Unfortunately for Novo and his hopeful fans, his time at the Oval hasn't gone as he might have liked. He received death threats in September which led police to give him advice about his security (happily nothing has since come of these threats) and has suffered on-field issues as well. A groin injury early on and problems with his hamstring a couple of months later mean that Novo has only played four games for the Glens - one of which was today against Crusaders at home. On top of that, he's had to deal with jibes from opposing fans about his weight.
In fairness, from appearances, it would appear that he is finally truly living up to his name.

Given all that, it's perhaps unsurprising that Novo's patience was wearing thin as his team were getting beaten 2-0 by Crusaders. Novo was sent off for "an attempted headbutt", according to BBC NI, on Crusaders' Declan Caddell.
And while the incident happened off-camera, it was caused by a fairly amusing bit of wind-up merchantry from Caddell (according to 'Belfast Live').

It remains to be seen whether he will stay on at Glentoran after this season. But on the basis of what we've seen so far, we're Nacho sure.
