A tweet from Miguel Delaney yesterday alerted us to this alternative view of Maradona's immortal second against England in the quarter final of the World Cup at Mexico in '86. A myth existed for a time that Terry Butcher got the final touch and the greatest goal ever was in fact the greatest own goal ever. In fairness to Butcher he settled the issue in an interview with the Daily Mail in 2008:
