Moussa Sissoko might have to do a little bit of explaining when he shows up for his first day of training as a Tottenham Hotspur employee.
The midfielder, who almost joined West Brom and then almost joined Everton on transfer deadline day, had clearly been looking for a move away from relegated Newcastle before the transfer windown slammed shut and had apparently been flirting with just about every suitor who batted their eyelids at him.
One of those was Spurs' most hated rivals. And then...

Just two months ago Sissoko said in an interview that he was desparate to join "the beautiful Arsenal" and, in words he will surely come to regret, described the Gunners as "the club of [his] heart".
Oh dear.
During France's Euro training base, Sissoko spoke to Foot Mercato about his desire to link up with the French contingent at the Emirates after reportedly being scouted by Arsene Wenger.
It is very flattering. Arsenal is one of the best European teams. To be watched by that sort of club, that proves that you are a quality player.
