After Man Utd progressed to the quarter-final stage of the Europa League earlier this month, Roy Keane suggested that the Old Trafford job was perhaps 'too big' for Jose Mourinho.
Keane thought Mourinho's complaints about the fixture congestion which Man Utd face over the closing weeks of the season were 'garbage and utter nonsense'.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Mourinho again had further complaints about fixtures - this time about international ones and, in particular, friendlies.
Both Phil Jones and Chris Smalling suffered injuries while on England duty. Those losses add to the already injured Paul Pogba and the suspended duo of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ander Herrera.
Mourinho compared Man Utd's situation to that of Saturday afternoon opponents West Brom. Mourinho's side had 13 players out on international duty. According to the Portuguese, that contrasted starkly with West Brom who he said had just one player away on international duty.
The reality: West Brom had 10 players away with their national sides. Northern Ireland alone had three West Brom players in their starting lineup against Norway on Sunday.
I don't know how but both central defenders got injured in the English camp even before the match.
The match was on the Sunday against Lithuania and they were injured in the training session. We lost four, I think [Paul] Pogba is also out, that's five, so we are a bit in trouble.
I watched Valencia's match yesterday in Ecuador, Marcos Rojo in Bolivia, but they don't arrive until Thursday afternoon.
If you compare our situation with our opponents, West Bromwich Albion, only one player on international duty. They had time to work, time to rest and prepare. It's going to be hard.
