Mourinho Responds To Benitez's Wife With The Bitchiest Comment In Football History

Oh no he didn't.

Jose Mourinho has never been the most diplomatic of men. When he wants to cause a bit of a media storm he opens his mouth and lets the soundbites flow. Like it or not, there's no doubt he keeps things interesting.

Although he's always happy to test some boundaries, he rarely crosses a line that he can't come back from. He's playfully irritating without being malicious.

While malicious may not be the best way to describe his latest comments, they're certainly a step further than the usual quotes we get from the Chelsea manager.

Rafa Benitez's wife, Montserrat Seara, yesterday said that her husband has made a living out of cleaning up Mourinho's messes. Some would argue that is ludicrous and some would argue it has some merit. For his part, it's fair to say Mourinho was a bit dismissive of Seara's claims.

The lady is a bit confused, with all respect. I’m not laughing, because her husband went to Chelsea to replace Roberto Di Matteo and he went to Real Madrid and replaced Carlo Ancelotti.

The only club where her husband replaced me was at Inter Milan, where in six months he destroyed the best team in Europe at the time.

And for her also to think about me and to speak about me, I think she needs to occupy her time, and if she takes care of her husband’s diet she will have less time to speak about me.

Yes, he really went there. We'd suggest this may not be the last we hear of this.
