Chelsea fell to their third defeat of the season in Saturday's early kick-off, going down 3-1 to Everton.

After the game, Jose Mourinho and Roberto Martinez reportedly had a confrontation outside the Everton media room. The Everton manager had just fulfilled his post-match media duties and was having a conversation in the hallway.

Mourinho was unhappy that as the away manager, he was forced to wait.

Roberto, next time, tell [them to let] me go before you because we have to travel.

Attempting to calm the situation, Martinez told the Chelsea manager that the press conference schedule was out of his control.

We don’t control that Jose, I don’t control that.

An exasperated Mourinho exclaimed "fucking hell" before heading into the media room.

Buoyant from his side's 3-1 victory, Martinez told journalists standing close by that Mourinho had been much more cordial after victory against Everton last season.

When he beat us 6-3 (last season) he was such a nice man. I prefer him like that!

News of the row is all over today's back pages and is being used as further evidence that the Portuguese is feeling the pressure at Stamford Bridge. A victory for Newcastle against West Ham tonight would put Chelsea in the relegation zone.
