After another madcap Mourinho incident, perhaps the UEFA Nations League is the most senseless competition in the world as it occasionally deprives us of the incredible soap opera that is the Premier League. At Stamford Bridge today, Jose Mourinho was on the verge of an immensely satisfying redemption story as Manchester United came from behind to lead his old team in the dying minutes of injury time. Then, Ross Barkley equalised and it, well....all kicked off from there.
A member of the Chelsea backroom team, who has since been identified as Marco Ianni, raced from the bench to celebrate in front of Mourinho. The United manager then chased after Ianni, and had to be separated from him in the tunnel by stewards.
Here is Mourinho's initial reaction...

Here is a frame by frame of the incident.
Mourinho Incident
The game finished 2-2...but once again the main entertainment was provided by Mourinho. After the game, Mourinho revealed what happened afterward.
What happened was with Sarri's assistant, and Sarri was the first to come to me to say he would resolve the problem internally. After that, his assistant came to me in Sarri's office and apologised. I told him that if that is how he really feels, and wants to apologise, I accept apologies and forget it, because I've made mistakes in my career. I'm not going to kill him because of one.
