Motherwell took a 3-1 lead into the second leg of their Scottish Premiership playoff with Rangers. Their ambition of retaining a place in Scottish football's tip tier was made all the easier by Rangers goalkeeper Cameron Bell.

Defenders backed off Motherwell winger Marvin Johnson who hit a deflected shot towards the Rangers goal. The ball looped into the air towards Bell. He could have caught it. He could have palmed it away. What he did was attempt to punch it.
