It is very rare that the chairman of a club is well liked by its fans, in a similar fashion to the company accountant and the CEO, the chairman unites the fans in their distrust and dislike.
Ken Bates is no exception, Leeds fans still celebrating for the first time in 8 odd years(bar THAT win against Man Utd) are hoping Bates sells up. The thing is Bates is not only shy with the kitty but he is Chelsea, he is anti-Leeds and Billy Bremner will one day awaken from his solid state outside Elland road and break down the chairman's door and kick him all the way back to Monaco via Stamford Bridge.
Ken doesn't care though, he is a football man and loves to cause havoc, no more so than at awards dinners like he did Saturday night.. take a look
