With questions marks surrounding Liverpool's bottle - or lack thereof - following a dire 0-0 draw with Southampton at Anfield, left-back Alberto Moreno decided to manifest himself as a living metaphor on the bench.
After a woeful 37 minutes in which few clear chances were created by either side, Jurgen Klopp cut a frustrated figure in his technical area, snarling orders at his lacklustre charges.
Perhaps even more frustrated was Moreno, who - for a brief, four-second period - looked like he wished he was anywhere else on the planet than sat in the Anfield dugout.
With Liverpool's top four challenge fading, Moreno embarked upon a challenge of his own - the bottle flip challenge, to be precise.

A huge number of Liverpool fans who spotted Moreno struggle with his water bottle were livid; it was the epitome of Liverpool's problems - a mental defficiency versus sides they should be beating, a lack of interest against the so-called 'so-called' smaller teams.
@Cuteiinho Did you see the vid of Moreno bottle flipping? You can tell how much this team is willing to try and get top 4

A result and performance like that and you've got Moreno being 6 years of age on the bench tryna flip a bottle. Turn it in soft lad.

I hate Moreno like the next guy, but all the dickhead done was a bottle flip wouldn't you? After that shit show of a half

A vocal proportion of Reds, however, empathised with Moreno.
The majority of bottle-flipping enthusiasts seemed grateful for his antics during an otherwise non-descript fixture.

The one notable incident from the match saw Fraser Forster save a penalty from James Milner midway through the second half; it was Forster's first ever penalty save from nine attempts, and Milner's first miss from the spot since 2009.
As one Twitter Red acknowledged, 'That's Liverpool, la'.
