More Bad Injury News Ahead Of Ireland-Germany Game

It wouldn't have bothered his predecessor unduly, but Martin O'Neill has had to cope with another injury this week.

Wes Hoolahan had to sit out training today after picking up a heel injury and is yet another injury concern ahead of this week's vitally important double header.

Hoolahan has enjoyed a terrific start to the season at Norwich and were he to be ruled out of the upcoming games, it would naturally be another significant blow.

He currently sits second in the Premier League assists table.

Seamus Coleman already looks certain to miss at least one of the games, while Ciaran Clark is also ruled out. It's a race against time to see whether Marc Wilson will be fit in time. Aiden McGeady, meanwhile, hasn't played all season.

As if that wasn't enough, James McClean and Glenn Whelan are both suspended.
