While Liverpool may be flying at the moment, there is one issue that continues to hang over the club's head.
Mohamed Salah's contract situation has yet to be solved, with the player's current deal set to expire in the summer of 2023. As of yet, there has been little indication that the sides in the negotiations are close to agreeing a new pact.
It has been rumoured that the player is seeking a new salary of around £350,000 per week, with Liverpool's wage structure seeing their current top earners take in around £220,000 per week. It remains to be seen how much the club will be willing to stretch that figure, although there have been some suggestions that they have already maxed out on their offer.
Mohamed Salah agent not convinced by Jurgen Klopp comment
Speaking ahead of the game against Brighton tomorrow, Jurgen Klopp hinted that the club could not do any more to convince Salah to sign a new contract.
🗣 "It's Mo's decision."

Mo definitely expects this club to be ambitious, we were in the last years and we are...
Of course we cannot do much more, that's how it is, I think meanwhile it is Mo's decision, pretty much.
I think the club did what the club can do. There's nothing more to say about it from my point of view, it is exactly like it should be in this moment in time.
Nothing happened further, so no signing, no rejection or whatever. We just have to wait for that, it's completely fine, there's no rush in this situation.
However, not all are convinced by this claim.
Soon after Klopp's comments surfaced, Salah's agent post this no so cryptic tweet.

The Egyptian has been open in his desire to stay at Liverpool, saying the decision now rested with the club after he made his demands clear.
Jurgen Klopp suggests that there is no rush on a final decision, although many supporters will now be getting nervous as Salah approaches the final 12 months of his current contract.
