Liverpool fans could be forgiven for still harbouring a slight CL hangover from their nightmare in Ukraine last May, but their team was certainly not lingering on the defeat as they kicked off their Champions League campaign with an exhilarating 3-2 win against PSG at Anfield tonight.

The Reds first went ahead through Daniel Sturridge and a James Milner penalty but were pegged back by Thomas Meunier and Kylian Mbappe goals. The second PSG goal came as the result of Mo Salah giving the ball away, with Mbappe seizing on the wingers' mistake to finish past Alisson.

Indeed it was one of Salah's last actions of the match as he was subbed off almost immediately after the goal for Xherdan Shaqiri. The 26-year-old could be seen sulking on the bench, even when Firmino popped up for the winner for his side:

The Egyptian seemed to throw a water bottle on the ground in the direct aftermath of Firmino's winner, a strange way of celebrating your side's last gasp winner against one of the biggest teams in the competition.

Fans were not sure what to make of Salah's histrionics:

Though despite Salah's apparent sulking there are images of the forward raising his arms to celebrate Firmino's strike, though his celebrations appear relatively fleeting given the circumstances of the goal:
