The World Cup proved to be a miserable experience for Egypt: they went home as one of just two teams to fail to win a point (the other being Panama), Hector Cuper has quit, and of most concern, Mo Salah is considering retiring from international football in anger toward the Egyptian FA, feeling he has been used as a political pawn in a series of chummy images with Chechnya leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
Salah, however, remains an icon across Egypt. Yesterday, his home address was leaked on Facebook, with hundreds of fans predictably flocking to his home in Cairo.
With hundreds gathered outside, Salah went outside to sign autographs and pose for photographs.

Such was the turnout, it spilled onto adjacent streets. The subsequent interruption to traffic caused Cairo police to arrive and disperse the crowds.
