Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has hit back at criticism of his client from Paul Scholes.
Following Manchester United's 3-2 defeat to Brighton on Sunday, Scholes said that the club lacked leaders on the field. He was especially critical of Pogba.
"We thought Paul Pogba might be the ideal candidate to be that leader but he wasn't there today," Scholes told Australian broadcaster Optus Sport.
He had another really poor game. He's so inconsistent.
When you're 3-1 down, your first thought is, 'We've got to score goals'. Where's the urgency? You get a ball in midfield, they're playing the ball backwards.
Paul Pogba is playing the ball out of play, he's overhitting passes, he's hitting passes short, he's getting caught in possession.
In just his 36th and 37th tweets ever, Raiola responded to that criticism from Scholes.
The Italian referenced recent rumours that Manchester United are looking to appoint a director of football, suggesting that it should be Scholes and that his first move should be to sell the Frenchman.
He also questioned the former Manchester United midfielder's ability to identify a leader.
Some people need to talk for fear of being forgotten. Paul Scholes wouldn’t recognize a leader if he was in front of Sir Winston Churchill. @paulpogba

Paul Scholes should become sports director and advise Woodward to sell Pogba. Would be sleepless nights to find Pogba a new club @paulpogba

Alex Ferguson famously said that the problem with Pogba during his first stint at Manchester United was Raiola - "He had a bad agent. Sh*t bag."
