Millwall once boasted a player (the only one playing in England at the time) who wore a black armband the week after Bloody Sunday. We wont name him here but let just say he's a good friend of Gilesy and Bill O'Herlihy.
However, it is touch and go whether the Millwall crowd, with their supposedly energetic right-wing element, would stand for that sort of stuff now. They beat Wigan 2-0 in the Championship and succeeded in giving James McClean an almighty barracking all night.
The booing ramped up when McClean had a starring role in a twenty man brawl - most accounts indicate that he was prominent in 'starting it'.
Can McClean please keep the ball so the Millwall fans can suffocate from their booing?

James McClean very lively in opening 15 minutes or so. Being booed with every touch. #Millwall #WAFC — Brad Pinard (@Brad_Pinard) April 14, 2015
#Millwall fans up for it. Getting stuck into James McClean who starts a 20 man brawl. FIGHT — Brad Pinard (@Brad_Pinard) April 14, 2015
A few crunching #Millwall tackles and James McClean losing his rag have really brought the home crowd into play in this game — Toby Porter (@PorterSLP) April 14, 2015
Unsurprisingly, a section of Millwall fans don't seem to like James McClean very much. Steady abuse levels increased by his role in a scrap.
