Among the interested spectators at the extension of Everton's Anfield perdition earlier today was actor Daniel Craig, best known for playing James Bond. Craig is a Liverpool fan, and had the Sky cameras trained upon him for much of the game earlier today.

During the course of the game, Gary Neville bemoaned on commentary that "James Bond is a Liverpool fan". One man deeply unimpressed with all of this attention on Craig and his Liverpool sympathies was TalkSPORT presenter Mike Parry.
The presenter rejected the notion that Bond, this symbol of Britain, would support one football team above another with Parry believing that the character's creator, writer Ian Fleming, would be appalled.
Absolutely disgraceful that James Bond has come out as a Koppite .. 007 belongs to this nation .. not one football club .. any football club

People who are telling me that James Bond is a fictional character don't get it .. an icon of the world can't have favourites ..

Do you expect me to talk Goldfinger?
No Mr Bond .. I expect you to freeload your way into the Director's Box at Liverpool— Mike Parry (@mikeparry8) April 1, 2017
Some of you don't get my point. Ian Fleming created James Bond. He never made him a Liverpool FC fan. Daniel Craig IS currently James Bond
— Mike Parry (@mikeparry8) April 1, 2017
Impressionable people see the current James Bond on-earth .. Daniel Craig .. endorsing Liverpool FC. Ian Fleming would not have allowed it

And by the way everybody .. @GNev2 has just vouched his support for my "James Bond's a Koppite is a disgrace" as I am sure will @fizzer18
— Mike Parry (@mikeparry8) April 1, 2017
.. no, but he has to not go public on it until he's NOT JAmes bond again .. https://t.co/PbiDovtNLT

Of course, Ian Fleming would never want to promote one brand over another in a series that had Bond carry a Walther PPK in his Aston Martin car.
If you're unaware of who Parry is, by the way, this writer feels his entire character is summed up in his attempt at the cinnamon challenge.
