Middlesbrough are back in the Premier League following a 1-1 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion. The result means that 'Boro finish second in the league, and are promoted automatically, although it does deprive us all of the quiz question regarding Richie de Laet, who has to be content with just a Premier League medal this season. Jack Charlton was in attendance, and was introduced to the crowd at half-time:

Naturally, there was an ecstatic pitch invasion, as 'Boro held on for a result that will be worth up to £170million.

Chris Hughton was as gentlemanly as always in the aftermath, but his grace in disappointment was not matched by a member of his coaching staff, Colin Calderwood:

'Boro's was not the only pitch invasion of the afternoon, as QPR fans also ran onto the pitch, to celebrate their, erm, 12th place finish in the Championship.
