A big call. After a limp effort in the 1-0 win over Gibraltar on Saturday, Ireland will be hoping for a much improved performance in this evening's clash against Georgia. It is an opponent Ireland have struggled against in the recent past, but this is likely a must win three points if this team harbour hopes of finishing in the top two of the group.
With a big boost in the performance needed, Mick McCarthy has made a couple of changes. Matt Doherty and Sean Maguire have dropped out of the starting XI, with Robbie Brady and Gelnn Whelan taking their place.
It looks like David McGoldrick will start up front on his own, with James McClean or Robbie Brady likely to play in behind him.
