We're yet to hear of anyone who enjoys the co-commentary of former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen. Granted, we haven't asked the nation in a census, but we have seen a torrent of abuse thrown in the direction of the admittedly painfully boring Owen, and nobody has jumped to his defence.
And honestly, it's easy to know why when you do actually listen to what he says. A string of cliches and pub-talk phrases like "He looks a player doesn't he?" have driven the football watching public to their Twitter accounts to vent their frustration, and vent they did.
Co-commentating on Manchester United vs Club Brugge for BT Sport Europe, Michael Owen was the subject of an unusual amount of stick, even for him, across social media.
Not sure I can cope with listening to Michael Owen for every champions league game ? #mute

If I was on a desert island with Michael Owen and a tin of corned beef, I'd eat Michael Owen and talk to the corned beef.
