Ireland and Southampton striker Michael Obafemi has made the 80 man shortlist for the 2020 Golden Boy award. The Shortlist has been cut down from 100 players to 80 by the Italian Newspaper Tuttosport who present the award.
To qualify for the award the player must be under the age of 21 and be playing play in a European nation's top tier.

No Irish player has ever won the award which was first awarded in 2003 to then Ajax midfielder Rafael van der Vaart.
