"The best thing I've seen all season," said the Express FM commentator of Michael Doyle's screamer for Portsmouth against Accrington Stanley
The 34-year-old Portsmouth captain hit an unstoppable left-footed volley past Jason Mooney in the Accrington goal shortly before half-time on Tuesday evening. It put Pompey up 3-0, the game would finish 3-1.
Dublin-born Doyle has one cap for Ireland. He has also had a solid career, beginning with Celtic before becoming best-known for successful spells at both Coventry and Sheffield United.
