With such fantastic lineups on display, Michael Carrick's testimonial was always going to be an entertaining affair.
While Steven Gerrard was forced to withdraw before kickoff after picking up an injury in a different friendly, there were still many players looking to come in and show that they've still got it.
In that respect, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, and Clarence Seedorf stood out as they wowed the crowd with nearly every touch, but the game was filled with fantastic moments from first whistle to last.
We've picked out five of the best moments from the day's action in case you didn't catch it live, or simply want to relive them.
#5 - A vintage Nemanja Vidic header at Old Trafford.
One of the big draws for the Man Utd fans on the day, Vidic getting a trademark header would have been exactly what they wanted to see.
Giggs, to Vidic? Ah, the good old days.
#4 - Ryan Giggs nutmegging Jamie Carragher.
The best part of this was, aside from Carragher's face as it was happening, how effortless it was for Giggs. Sublime touch, the Liverpool man would have absolutely hated that.
#3 - A trademark finish from Robbie Keane as he dinks Edwin Van der Sar.
Yes!
The Irish fans watching on would have been hoping for Robbie to have a moment, and after providing an assist for the opening goal, he dinked Edwin van der Sar in typical style.
#2 - Michael Carrick getting the perfect goal on his day.
The perfect way to end the match, Carrick's goal was a typical strike from the man himself and saw an incredible reaction from the crowd.
#1 - Jamie Carragher wiping out Gary Neville.
Regardless of who you support, the Carragher v Neville battle was always going to be fascinating, especially as Carragher had promised to cut down his MNF colleague.
Here to support Carrick & his charity but more importantly to snap @GNev2 https://t.co/9QblNfzs7n

He did not disappoint.
