While Manchester United's home support, as with any of the Premier League's "big" clubs, has been criticised for a lack of atmosphere in recent seasons, the same accusation can not be levelled at the club's away support which can regularly be heard in full voice for the majority of a Premier League match.
With their side 2-0 up against Sunderland's 10 men, the lack of interest from the home fans meant that the songs being sung were very clear on the TV broadcast as well as around the stadium. It was a bit of a throwback atmosphere as John O'Shea's song was belted out numerous times, as was that of Anderson, and Wes Brown.
The Diego Forlan chant also got a run out, and the Sky cameras picked up a great moment as Jose Mourinho could not quite make out who the United fans were singing about, or why they were singing about him.

Jose: Who's Diego?
Carrick: Forlan
Jose: why?
Cue japes and chuckles

Diego, oh oh ohhh,
Diego, oh oh ohhh,
He came from Uruguay,
He made the Scousers cry.
You can see why Mourinho may be confused as the fans salute a striker who scored 10 goals in 63 appearances for the club over a decade ago, but travelling fans need very little excuse to break into song.
It's also fantastic that when Mourinho is confused by something at the club, he turns to Michael Carrick, we can only hope this happens on many occasions.
