Ever since Roy Keane lead with his studs-up challenge on Alf-Inge Haaland's midrift, kids in Ireland have been play-mimicking the incident.
Keane made an appearance in a conversation concerning the worst Premier League managers of all time on today's edition of The Racket:
Now, they never actually make contact for the most part, but it's a sign of how engrained a memory it is for all of us.
Now, it seems like Keane's actions on that day have reached America. Perhaps not, but Keane's tackle that day comes to mind when watching the Miami Heat's mascot - Burnie - take out, not one, but two rival mascots.
The attempt was part of Burnie's birthday, and injuring two other mascots wasn't going to stop him from celebrating:
