Barcelona beat Las Palmas 2-1 on Saturday with Luis Suarez scoring twice for Luis Enrique's side.
However, the win was overshadowed by an injury to Leo Messi. In the fourth minute of the game, Messi beautifully controlled a ball just inside the box and then attempted a strike on goal. Shot blocked by a Las Palmas defender, the Barca forward remained on the ground following the collision.
The Argentine attempted to play on but had to be substituted in the 10th minute.
The injury will keep Messi out of action for seven or eight weeks.
