After a very disappointing spell at Manchester United, Dutch winger Memphis Depay has enjoyed a more successful period after making the move to Lyon in January.
Aside from getting back amongst the goals and assists on a regular basis, the biggest sign that his confidence had returned could be seen when he decided to take on a shot from just inside the halfway-line against Toulouse back in March.
As the ball sailed over the goalkeeper's head and hit the back of the next, Ligue 1's goal of the season was essentially wrapped up, and sure enough, at Monday night's awards ceremony he was presented with the official award.
And he arrived in... Erm, style?

The dramatic choice of clothing is a nod to Michael Jackson, and it has caused quite a stir both in France and abroad.

Depay is no stranger to clothing that turns heads, as his Instagram is essentially a collection of his outlandish clobber. The best example in that regard is a jacket which has his girlfriend's face painted on the back, but you can also find a very similar jacket that Memphis wore while meeting Anthony Joshua at an Under Armour event:
Far be-it from us to anyone what they can and can't wear, he's a young man making a tonne of money and he can spend it however he likes.
