Until Father Ted's Arthur Matthews tweeted it about it today, I had no idea that the new Michel Platini was in our midst. He's a Brazilian striker, he plays in Bulgaria and his name is ... Michel Platini. What a serendipitous name for a footballer! He's 27, and has been playing in Europe since 2009, so it's amazing he's stayed below the radar. Kind of like naming your wannabe rapper son Biggie Smalls. He scored a fine goal this week.
