Earlier this week, Sky Sports reported that United had agreed a fee of £12.7 million for the player.
The signing of Darmian will fix a major problem in Man Utd's defence - right-back. Antonio Valencia was shoehorned into the position last season but never looked completely comfortable.
It also means that Seamus Coleman will likely stay with Everton.
Update:
Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Darmian.
