Manchester United are currently on their preseason tour of the US. The Red Devils took on the San Jose Earthquakes yesterday, registering a 0-0 draw in Santa Clara, but the game will go down more for the actions of United defender Matteo Darmian, who inadvertently killed a pigeon during the friendly.

The dead bird was eventually carried off the pitch by San Jose player Florian Jungwirth, who callously disposed of it in a bucket.
Meanwhile Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that the Serie A side are interested in signing Matteo Darmian. The full back has struggled to tie down a starting berth under Jose Mourinho and the Napoli boss has made no secret of his admiration for the player:
There are five or six names on the list. We are monitoring Arias like Darmian, who can play on both flanks.
Everybody would like to sign Darmian because of his versatility.
Darmian's exit could be accelerate by the arrival of right back Diogo Dalot. The Portugese defender signed for United from Porto for £19 million at the start of June.
