Matt Le Tissier Has Made Our Day By Helping Young Fan Who Was Teased At School

The school playground can be a tough place.

Young boys without the supervision of their parents can turn into mean little twats, and when they find a victim to pick on it can get really tough for whoever that unfortunate person is.

Sadly, a young Southampton fan was being teased at school for saying that he was attending the Matt le Tissier Natural Coaching Academy, something he had actually been doing for the past four years. The bullies refused to believe what 11-year-old Ben Shaw had been telling them, and mocked him for lying, but with the help of Southampton's greatest ever player, they were well and truly shut up.

At the end of the school year Ben, along with his classmates, were due to attend the 'Year Six leavers prom' at Oakwood Primary School. Ben's parents asked Matt Le Tissier if he would drive their son to the prom to show the bullies that he was telling the truth, and sure enough that is exactly what he did.

Le Tissier drove young Ben to the event in his convertible BMW, just to rub it in the face of those who had been mocking him.

And the best part of it is that it was a surprise for Ben, as explained by his Mum who was speaking to DailyEcho.co.uk:

We wanted to do something special for his prom and Ben was completely shocked, it was lovely.

I was hopeful Matt would say yes because he is a lovely guy, but it was a shot in the dark. But then I went into the academy and they said he would love to do it.

Ben was the coolest kid at the prom, it's pretty much the dream scenario for anyone who is being teased and the man himself was obviously thrilled with what had happened:

I was really excited and surprised, it was really good and all my friends were really impressed.

They wanted to know how I did it. The prom was very good, but my favourite was the ride with Matt.

Fair play to Matt Le Tissier, that is an awesome thing to do and he has provided a memory that a young lad will never forget, but most importantly that should well and truly shut the bullies up.
