Matt Doherty scored two and set up the winner as Wolves won their FA Cup fourth round replay against Shrewsbury on Tuesday evening.
It was actually Doherty who Wolves had to thank for having a second bite at the League One side. He scored a late equaliser in the drawn game on January 26th.
According to Opta, the Ireland international now has more goals this season in all competitions than any other Premier League defender.
Doherty put Wolves ahead after just two minutes on Tuesday after the ball fell to him in the box.
Shrewsbury took the lead through goals from James Bolton and Josh Laurent but Doherty got his side level deep into first half injury time.
Ivan Cavaleiro scored the winner in the 63rd minute. It was Doherty - this time stationed outside the box - who played the ball which led to the Portuguese forward's goal.
