Matt Doherty's progression to one of the stand out right backs in the Premier League has been a heartening sight for Ireland fans.
The 26-year-old has contributed three goals and four assists this season, with Nuno Esprito Santo's currently sitting pretty in 9th position in the PL, and according to a report in the Independent.ie, the former Bohemian's defender is set to be rewarded for his good form.
The report states that Doherty is set for a bumper deal and could even become the first Irish player to link up with (in)famous super agent Jorge Mendes.
Mendes represents many clients at Wolves such as as Ruben Neves, Rui Patricio, Raul Jiminez and Joao Moutinho.
Doherty currently earns £20,000 a week in his current deal, but any new contract would see that sum rise significantly with the right back has becoming one of the first name on the team sheet for Nuno Esprito Santo's side.
His face certainly fits at Molineux.
