A club teammate of Mat Ryan has appeared to poke fun at the Australian for his mistake that led to Argentina's second goal.
With Argentina 1-0 up in the game, Mat Ryan had the ball passed back to him when he was dispossessed by the Argentina press, with Julian Alvarez slotting into the empty net to give Argentina a 2-0 lead.
Despite Australia pulling a goal back through Enzo Fernandez, they couldn't find an equaliser to bring the game to extra time, with their World Cup journey coming to and end.

For Mat Ryan, it will be particularly difficult to deal with the situation, who will feel particularly at fault for his side's exit, despite a solid tournament up until the mistake.
Copenhagen Teammate Aims Dig At Ryan
While the Copenhagen goalkeeper would have been hoping for support and comfort from his club side when he returns from Qatar, it seems as though there's one player who is happy to see him fall.
Kamil Grabara, who is the other goalkeeper that has played for the Danish side this season, decided to make this ill-timed tweet shortly after tonight's game.
Must have been politics, for sure😏

Kamil Grabara and Mat Ryan have been competing for the number one jersey at Copenhagen so far this season, with Mat Ryan making three clean sheets in six league appearances since making the move to Copenhagen in September.
Grabara, who was with Liverpool for five years but failed to make an appearance for the club, had been with the Danish champions since 2021, but the club seem to be favouring Ryan this season, with rumours of a move away for the Polish goalkeeper.
While most players will have wanted to see their teammates do well in Qatar, this rivalry seems to be showing no signs of stopping, as Grabara seems to be enjoying the fact he slipped up, while also aiming a dig at his club.
