Bradford City have acted ruthlessly in axing their 'City Gent' mascot of 19 years on account of being 'too thin'. Lenny Berry, a life-long Bradford fan, had filled out the role of the portly, bowler hat-wearing, briefcase-carrying, gent since 1994 but in recent years has shrunk from 17 stone to just ten following diagnosis with diabetes. Berry had been offered the opportunity to continue in his post wearing a sumo suit but has chosen to step aside instead.
