In the wake of our nostalgic post yesterday about how we consumed football in the 1990s, Micil Glennon got in touch with us on Twitter to share photos of the copy of the first edition of Match magazine he bought as a young fella, which he somehow still has in his possession.
And by Christ, it was no ordinary edition either! Costing just 45p at the time, it came just days after Ireland had beaten England in Euro 88, and features 'the pictures that matter' and an interview with Packie Bonner and Houghton himself!
An excellent piece of memorabilia.
