Martin Skrtel was the hero for Liverpool against Arsenal yesterday, scoring a late equaliser to grab a point for his side. The Slovakian did so while his head was wrapped in what looked like a combination of bandage and duct tape.

Early in the second half, the game was delayed for a prolonged period of time while Skrtel received medical attention. He had sustained a gash to his head, caused by a wayward boot from Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.
The Liverpool centre-back posted a picture on his Instagram account of the seven staples he had inserted following the game.
