Martin O'Neill has been linked heavily with the vacant manager position at Stoke City but Spanish journalist Guillem Balague thinks that the Northern Irishman isn't the clubs first choice to replace Mark Hughes.
The Sky Sports journo gave his thoughts on the vacant managerial position at the Potters in a tweet posted today:
Sánchez Flores has decision to make. Stoke are insisting and he’s the favourite. Club representatives met him in Barcelona with impressive long term plan while Espanyol haven’t kept all promises. Stoke want answer soon. So it is a yes (and be in Stoke early next week) or he stays

Sánches Flores has experience in the Premier League guiding Watford to safety in the 2015/16 season before parting ways with the Hornets in May 2015. He is currently sitting in a relatively comfortable position with Espanyol, the club are in 14th place eight points clear of safety.
The Spaniard has more recent experience in the Prem, but Martin O'Neill's extensive C.V. surely makes him the favourite to take over at the Britannia.
