Martin O'Neill has given his view on Roy Keane's departure from Aston Villa in a video posted on the FAI website.
O'Neill says Keane was concerned about his ability to juggle both jobs and was also anxious to spend more time with his family. O'Neill noted that Keane had not had the time to enjoy a summer holiday.

He says he is extremely happy with how Keane is performing in his role for Ireland and says he is delighted Ireland was his priority. His video statement this time around was a less surreal affair than his previous one (over the Gillespie incident) when he looked vaguely like a kidnap victim.
