Never trust Martin O'Neill when he's giving you gambling advice. He backed the wrong horse in the Ballon d'Or vote, opting for Lionel Messi in first place. For what it's worth, he went with Ronaldo in second and Gareth Bale in third place.

Our captain Robbie Keane was onto a winner though. He went: 1st. Cristiano Ronaldo, 2nd. Lionel Messi, 3rd. Gareth Bale. Meanwhile Ronaldo voted for Falcao in first, Gareth Bale in second and Mesut Ozil in third.
