Poor auld Panama. After losing their two of their group games the number 55 ranked side in the world is now the subject of Martin O Neill's acid tongue.
The Ireland manager was speaking to the Panamanian's footballing ability on ITV, and couldn't resist coming down hard on their lack of quality:
With the greatest respect Panama, I sometimes, where I live, I go down and see the local U17 side. And they've had a really bad season they've lost almost every game and what I'm going to do for their pre-season is I'm going to ask them to play Panama, because you know, Panama are wretched!
Martin O’Neill unimpressed by Panama....

With Roy Keane yesterday putting England in their place after the Three Lions 6-1 win over Panama, O'Neill seemed to be similarly looking to deliver some home truths to the team that are bottom of Group G, but surely he could've been a bit kinder to a Panama side that were always going to be up against it in their first World Cup.
