Martin O'Neill has named his squad for Ireland's upcoming World Cup qualifiers versus Georgia on October 6th and Moldova on October 9th.
New names in the squad include Barnsley's Conor Hourihane - Championship Player of the Month for August - and Aberdeen's 22-year-old keeper Danny Rogers who is currently on loan at Falkirk.
Hourihane's place in the squad is richly deserved. Barnsley are currently fourth in the Championship. Captain Hourihane has been their most influential player scoring three goals and adding four assists in eight league games this season.
There are some names disappointingly not included such as Brentford centre-back John Egan and Daryl Horgan. O'Neill said following the squad announcement that Horgan was not included in the squad due to a congested Dundalk fixture list.
Shane Duffy returns following suspension, while Kevin Doyle also returns.
Ireland face perennial qualification opponents Georgia at the Aviva Stadium on a Thursday, before travelling to Chișinău to play Moldova on the following Sunday.
