Has Martin O'Neill let the cat out of the bag?
With rumours that 36-year-old Robbie Keane is about to sign a new two-year-deal with LA Galaxy, the question remains about what his international future will hold. It's been expected that Robbie will announce his retirement from playing for the boys in green after 18 long years and 145 caps.
It's just when.
First we thought he was going to do it when he started speaking to the crowds after getting off the plane home from the Euros. Now there is rumours about him being given a final home game in Dublin when Oman come over for a friendly next month.
Speaking to the media today, Martin O'Neill let slip that something is coming soon:
Martin O'Neill: I've spoken to Robbie (Keane) and I think he will make an announcement soon. #FestivalofFootball

Is Keane at the stage where he will announce that he's going to keep playing for Ireland? I don't think so. The end of an era is coming.
We won't know what we have until it's gone.
